Ford 427W

This engine is not subtle. Capable of 500+ horsepower and a long torque curve in the same realm, the CHP's 427 is a no-holds-barred stump pulling torque monster. It is easily our most popular engine with the Cobra kit car builders, but it is just as comfortable in a tow vehicle or a really scary Mustang, not to mention the hundreds of drag cars it has sent thundering down the track. If making big power is your thing, the CHP 427 is your choice.

Caution: CHP 351W kits are designed for use with 9.500 blocks. Care must be taken to adjust clearances when using a 1969/1970 9.480 block height.
